Molasses, a sugar, is a biostimulant used to kick-start soil microbial activity. Particularly useful to boost yeasts, beneficial fungi and lactic acid bacteria. These forms of soil biota assist in the breakdown of humic matter, plant sugars and amino acids. They are also beneficial in reducing soil-borne pathogens.

Home Garden Soil Drench (Fertigation) Application Rates
Pre-planting: For pre-plant application to the soil 24-hours prior to planting, dilute 360 mL in a 9-10 L watering can and apply over 2-4 Sq. M and cultivate lightly.
After planting or for established plants: For application as a top-up dressing to soil around base of plants, dilute 45 mL in a 9-10 L watering can and apply over 2-4 Sq. M, on a fortnightly basis to a maximum of 360 mL of product (8 applications) per treated area over the growing season.
